Fujifilm has been in recent years one of the favorite brands of equipment for street photography for its compact design, great technology and its commitment to nostalgia that generates us to see their models that could well pass as analog equipment if we do not see the screen.<\/p>\n
The XE series, which aesthetically reminds us of a rangefinder, wraps the best of Fujifilm's X technology with a 16.3 megapixel APS-C size X-Trans CMOS II sensor. It supports sensitivities between 200 and 6400 ISO, with 100 ISO selectable in extended mode, as well as 12800 and 25600 ISO.<\/p>\n
Its 2.36 million dot OLED viewfinder is located at the top edge, making it easy to use the opposite eye to keep looking around while looking through the viewfinder, plus a 3-inch LCD screen. There are top control dials to manage speed and exposure compensation, plus a dial on the back that can be set to keep aperture at your fingertips.<\/p>\n
We have wifi connectivity to control from mobile or transfer jpg to the phone to share instantly, although as is common in fujifilm models of mid 2010's, sometimes fail to attempt the connection, this also depending on the model of phone with which you want to connect.<\/p>\n
The body is compact, which makes it ideal for mounting a fixed lens from the X series and taking advantage of its reasonable autofocus, although it already feels a bit lensy compared to cameras of this year. It has a grip that is a little short when mounting considerable zoom lenses, so in case you need them I would opt for a camera of the XT line, like its contemporary the XT-1. Even so, it is a comfortable camera with great features, which becomes a great alternative to the fujifilm camera that was undoubtedly born for the street, the X100, or its big sister the Xpro range.<\/p>\n
Today this is my main camera for street photography, accompanied by the powerful kit zoom 18-55 2.8-3.5 and a neewer 25mm 1.8 manual lens with which I cover my needs in the unpredictable street.<\/p>\n
