TITLE I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
Nature and purpose
The Tomar la Calle Collective is an organization dedicated to street and documentary photography, conceived as a space for meeting, exchange, growth and dissemination. Its mission is to strengthen the photographic practice from the community, generate Ibero-American links and promote the street as a creative and social territory.
Article 2. Principles
The collective is guided by the values of:
- Collaboration and respect.
- Diversity of views.
- Ethics in photographic practice.
- Cultural self-management.
- Street spirit: horizontal, free and committed.
Article 3. Structure
The collective is organized on three interrelated levels:
- Organizing Nucleus - directive and operative body.
- Ambassadors - regional representatives of the collective.
- Iberoamerican Catalog of Allied Photographers - network of photographers linked to the community.
TITLE II. THE ORGANIZING NUCLEUS
Article 4. Integration
The Nucleus shall be composed of a maximum of ten (10) active members, with specific responsibilities and permanence subject to continuous participation.
Article 5. Functions of the Nucleus
Design, coordinate and execute activities, exhibitions, festivals and projects of the collective. Officially represent Tomar la Calle before institutions, allies and the IPFA (International Photography Festivals Association), manage resources, alliances, sponsorships and collaborations. Designate ambassadors and review nominations for the Catalog. Preserve the visual, communicational and ethical identity of the collective.
Article 6. Admission and permanence
- Admission to the Nucleus will be by invitation or by transition from the Ambassadors group.
- Each member shall participate in at least 70% of annual meetings and activities.
- Tenure is renewed annually by internal consensus.
Article 7. Departure
It may be given for:
- Voluntary resignation.
- Proven inactivity for six consecutive months.
- Repeated failure to comply with responsibilities.
- Decision by absolute majority of the Core.
TITLE III. THE AMBASSADORS
Nature and purpose
Tomar la Calle Ambassadors are photographers appointed to represent the collective in their cities or countries, expanding its presence, network and Ibero-American collaboration.
Article 9. Functions of the Ambassadors
- Officially represent the collective in their region.
- Coordinate or promote local activities under the Tomar la Calle label (walks, ephemeral exhibitions, meetings, talks, etc.).
- Disseminate calls for proposals, projects and publications.
- To be a liaison between photographers of the Catalog and the Nucleus.
- Support in the review and selection of new members of the Catalog.
- Participate in at least one annual activity of the collective.
Article 10. Designation and duration
- Ambassadors will be appointed at the invitation of the Nucleus or by proposal from the Catalog.
- The appointment shall be for a term of two years, renewable by evaluation.
- Each Ambassador will receive official recognition and their profile will be included in the collective's institutional materials.
Article 11.
- Track record or constant practice in street or documentary photography.
- Residence or origin in an Ibero-American country.
- Affinity with the values and principles of the collective.
- Management, leadership and collaboration skills.
- Ethics and responsibility in the representation of the collective.
Article 12. Benefits
- Priority participation in international projects and exhibitions of the collective, including those carried out within the IPFA.
- Inclusion in the IPFA photographers' catalog.
- Access to expanded decision-making processes and coordination spaces.
- Official certificate as a Tomar la Calle Ambassador.
- Possibility of being invited to join the Nucleus.
TITLE IV. THE IBEROAMERICAN CATALOG OF ALLIED PHOTOGRAPHERS
Article 13. Nature
The Ibero-American Catalog of Allied Photographers is an international network of street and documentary photographers linked to the collective, without operational functions, but with symbolic, creative and collaborative participation.
Article 14.
- By invitation or by open call evaluated by the Nucleus and the Ambassadors.
- Consideration will be given to the quality of the work, conceptual affinity and commitment to the values of the collective.
Article 15. Rights and benefits
- Dissemination of profile and work in the digital platform of Tomar la Calle.
- Participation in exhibitions, publications, photobooks and virtual meetings.
- Inclusion in international projects of the collective within the IPFA network.
- Inclusion in the IPFA photographers' catalog.
- Possibility of being proposed as Ambassador.
Article 16. Obligations
- Share work and maintain minimal communication with the collective.
- Respect the image, ethics and principles of the collective.
- Participate in at least one activity or call per year.
TITLE V. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEVELS
Article 17. Interconnection
- The collective will operate under a bottom-up collaboration scheme:
- Members of the Catalog may be promoted to Ambassador.
- Ambassadors may be invited to join the Core.
- The Nucleus maintains overall direction and collegial decision-making.
Article 18. Structure and transition table
TITLE VI. ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION
Article 19. Meetings
- The Core will meet at least once every two months.
- Ambassadors will participate in virtual meetings every four months.
- The Catalog will be convened on a semi-annual basis for an open meeting or virtual forum.
Article 20. Decision-making
- Decisions of the Nucleus shall be adopted by simple majority.
- An absolute majority shall be required for appointments or removals.
Article 21. Internal communication
- Exclusive Core channel.
- Information channel for Ambassadors.
- Informative channel for Catalog (not deliberative).
TITLE VII. PROJECTION AND GROWTH
Article 22. Strategic plan
- 2025-2026: consolidate the Nucleus (10 members), designate first Ambassadors and launch the initial Catalog (10-30 photographers).
- 2026-2027: expansion of regional ambassadors and publication of the first Tomar la Calle Ibero-American Yearbook.
- 2027-2028: strengthen international links, cultural exchanges and collective publications.
TITLE VIII. FINAL PROVISIONS
Article 23. Reforms
Any modification of the present Statutes must be approved by an absolute majority of the Organizing Nucleus, after consultation with the Ambassadors.
Article 24.
These Bylaws are effective as of their approval by the Organizing Nucleus of Tomar la Calle and supersede previous versions.
