Venezuelan photographer, currently residing in Caracas. He began his path in photography approximately ten years ago, although he interrupted his practice for a period of five years due to his migratory process. At the beginning of this year he returned to the profession with a clear intention: to consolidate and deepen his visual discourse.
His training has been developed mainly at the Escuela Foto Arte and Roberto Mata Taller de Fotografía, where he studied digital photography, street photography, lighting, color narratives and documentary, among others. His formative interest is especially focused on the mastery of discourse and the construction of meaning through the image, which is why he continues to expand his preparation through workshops and constant learning processes.
Professionally, he worked for a time in food and event photography as a way of making a living, although his current focus is on street photography and documentary filmmaking. He is developing an ongoing archive on urban life in Caracas -a long-term project- and a three-part documentary work on Altagracia de Orituco, the town where he was born, currently in its first chapter. At the same time, he is exploring an early-stage project on the Venezuelan Caribbean, as well as other lines of research related to masculinity in agricultural areas and the recording of everyday life from a more personal perspective.
