CHRISTIAN PATARROYO

Her training in Venezuela, the United States and Colombia, gives her a gaze that crosses borders to narrate territory, memory and displacement from the migrant experience.
He currently resides in Bogota, Colombia, a country of which he has been a naturalized citizen since 2019, after having lived more than twenty years in the United States, specifically in Appleton, Wisconsin.
He was educated at Fox Valley Technical College, where he earned an Associate in Applied Sciences in Visual Arts/Business and Publishing (2009-2017). He has more than ten years of experience as a graphic designer in the screen printing industry. Upon returning to Colombia, he strengthened his visual focus by studying photography at Zona Cinco School, where he obtained certification in the professional photography course and in studio lighting (2019-2024).
His work has been part of the photographic exhibition Travel/Borderlands, as part of Takaaki KJ's curatorial projects (Bogota, August 4 - November 7, 2023), as well as of the exhibition Let's go through the most popular forest in the city. with the group Memoria_engativa (August 10 - November 30, 2023). She is currently working as a bilingual agent in one of Bogotá's call centers, while continuing to develop her photographic practice.
