#FocoIberoamericano is the exhibition of #TLCFotofest26 that gathers the view of those who will be behind one of the most important decisions of the festival: the selection of the exhibition #SomosCalle.
In this space we present the photographic work of the invited jury, a group of authors with trajectory, their own voice and a deep relationship with street photography in the Ibero-American context. More than names, here we reveal their ways of looking: their obsessions, their times, their intuitions.
To understand who selects is also to understand from where a narrative is constructed. This exhibition does not only present work; it exposes criteria, sensibilities and positions regarding the street as a photographic territory.
Foco Iberoamericano functions as a point of reference: an opportunity to approach the visual thinking of the jury and dialogue, from the image, with those who will define the SomosCalle edition.

Soon you will have news of the call of #SomosCalle for #TLCFotofest26 an exhibition to showcase the talent and the Ibero-American corners.

📷 Street - portrait - documentary photography
🔗 @rogeliogv
Photographer and visual creator whose practice is developed in the urban space, focusing on people, encounters and everyday gestures. His work moves between street photography, portraiture and documentary, with a gaze that explores melancholic atmospheres, intimate scenes and moments of pause in the city. He studied Philosophy at the UNAM and has a degree in Social Communication from the UAM, training that crosses his way of understanding the image as a space of question, narrative and interpretation.
His practice is based on direct encounters: walking the city, approaching, conversing and building brief but meaningful bonds with those he photographs. His work includes workers, musicians, cyclists and scenes of the urban environment, as well as the underground, influenced by his work as a musician in the band Señor Cráneo. He is the founder of Ediciones Erre, an independent publishing project from where he articulates image, critical thinking and collective creation. For Rogelio, photography is also a personal process: a way of observing, questioning and inhabiting the world with greater awareness.
